Pianist Svetlana Lougunova and young violinist Alfredo Reyes Lougunova join their talents in a magical evening presenting a program that will be a wonderful journey through 150 years of music history.
Artists
Pianist Svetlana Logounova was born in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan (formerly USSR), and she began her musical studies at the age of 5. She studied at the Baiseitova Music School and graduated from the "Gnessin" Pedagogical Musical Institute in Moscow, Russia. She has been living in Mexico since 1989. Her performances include not only various cities in our country but also presentations in diverse cities of Europe. She is a piano teacher and accompanying pianist at the National Conservatory of Music and at the "Ollin Yoliztli" Cultural Center.
Violinist Alfredo Reyes Logounova is considered one of the most outstanding and prominent Latin American violinists of his generation. He made his debut as a soloist in 1997 at the age of 6 with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City, becoming the youngest soloist in the history of Mexican orchestras. Since then, he has performed as a soloist with the most prominent orchestras in the country, including the National Symphony Orchestra, and also with important ensembles abroad, such as the Symphony Orchestra of the Tigullio Liguria di Levante International Festival in the city of Chiavari, Genoa, Italy. His remarkable participation as a soloist was in the commemoration of the 200 years of the Dutch Monarchy in 2014, which was attended by the Kings of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, as well as the President of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The program includes pieces such as the Sonata for Violin and Piano K.454 in B-flat major by Austrian composer W.A. Mozart, dedicated to Regina Strinasacchi; Chaconne for Solo Violin from Partita No. 2 in D minor BWV 1004 by German composer J.S. Bach; Sonata for Violin and Piano in A major by the Belgian composer C. Franck; Polonaise No.1 in D major Op.4 by the Polish composer and great virtuoso violinist H. Wieniawski; "Melody" for Violin and Piano by the Russian composer P.I. Tchaikovsky, and "Ronde des lutiens" for Violin and Piano by the Italian composer and violinist A. Bazzini.
